E- cigarettes include vape pens, e-pens, hookah pens, vape pipes, e-pipes, and Juuls. All of these devices are considered electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). E-cigarette use has significantly increased among youth and young adults in the United States. Over 98% of e-cigarettes sold in convenience stores contain nicotine and harmful chemicals, meaning vaping is addictive and can cause cancer.
Are E-Cigarettes Safe?

1. E-cigarette use leads to ADDICTION Most e-cigarettes contain nicotine, a very addictive substance, also in cigarettes. 2. The "vapor" inhaled by users is actually aerosol. It contains harmful chemicals including heavy metals, carcinogens, & dacetyl. 3. It affects brain development in youth. The brain continues to develop until around age 25. 4. The batteries can explode. This can cause serious burn injuries. 5. E-cigarette liquid is poisonous. It can burn your skin & may result in accidental poisoning of young children.
